We went on the funnest long board/bike ride last night. :) Ben rode his long board (that he made) and I rode Ben's bike, and we went on the bike path around the Snake river. It was beautiful!

Tonight we went on a fun date to check out some rifles at Ben's favorite gun shop, and then we went to Pizza Pie Cafe for dinner :) Now we're stuffed and we're going to watch a movie. :)
Yesterday we went shooting, and I took a few pictures. Ben is totally in his element here haha. Love ya, Babe. You're adorable. :)
My birthday was last Monday, and Ben made sure I had an absolutely perfect day. :) As soon as I fell asleep the night before, he got up and decorated the dining room. What's funny is that I woke up for a bit when he was getting out of bed to decorate, and when he got back in, but he told me he just went to the bathroom, and I totally believed him haha! I had no idea that he was gone for more than just a couple minutes. ;) Didn't he do a great job?? It was beautiful! He got me this card because I turned 21, and I used the bottle opener to pop open that bottle of sparkling cider. ;) After breakfast, we went shopping and then to IHOP for a birthday lunch. Those nutella crepes were soooooooo good. (And so was Ben's philly steak.) Then we came home and I opened my present from Ben. He got me this gorgeous candle (that smells like heaven and citrus and spices and summer and Christmas all at the same time), which was exactly what I asked him for ;) He's a great listener ;)
Then we got ready and went to Olive Garden for my birthday dinner. We stuffed ourselves full of pasta and breadsticks and dessert (pretty much my three favorite things), and then we came home and had brownies and ice cream. It was perfect. I love you, Ben :) I love my husband :). He is so wonderful, and he takes such excellent care of me. And because of all that, I wanted to make this birthday a great one. :) Here's what we did: We went to IHOP for a free birthday breakfast! My bacon and sausage were good (I'm eating low carb) and Ben's stack of pancakes looked and smelled really good haha! I think they were New York Cheese Cake Pancakes, or something like that. :) Then we went to the mall so Ben could pick out a present to use his birthday money from my parents on. We went to Old Navy and he tried on a few things... Oh my gosh, he is so adorable. :) And he ended up getting.... This sweater. He's got good taste :) After shopping, we met up with Susan at the movies. We got our tickets and got all settled in our seats, and then the power went out! So we made our way over to the other movie theater where the power was on. And on the way over, Ben got to talk on the phone to his dad (who is deployed in Africa). So it's a good thing we missed that first movie, otherwise Ben wouldn't have been able to talk to him. :) We ended up seeing Spiderman. We loved it! Then we went home and got ready for the birthday dinner. We went to Buffalo Wild Wings because my man likes his MEAT. haha :) They gave him this dorky hat to wear and I wrote "Birthday Boy" on it to make it even more dorky ;)
We ordered lots of wings, and they gave him birthday ice cream on the house. It was a great dinner. :) Afterwards, we came back home, sang happy birthday, opened presents, and then went over to Susan's to play games. :) It was a great day. Happy 23rd, Ben! Happy birthday to my incredible husband! We had a wonderful day, and I'll write all about it tomorrow :)
We are counting down the days until Fall over here. We can't wait! And today it started to feel like Fall weather; it was cool outside all day and then it started storming a few hours ago.
We went over to Susan's for a game night, and we brought over this low carb taco soup I made for dinner (that turned out really good). We ate, watched Man of Steel, and played cards, and then we drove home through the rain and snuggled up in our bed where I'm typing this from now. It's so cozy hearing the rain outside. I'm so excited for Fall. :) We had such a good time down in Park City and Salt Lake celebrating birthdays. It was a great weekend! It was so much fun to swim with all the kids and to eat birthday cake and hang out with family.
We drove back home yesterday, and today we both went to work. I'm going to pick Ben up from Lowe's in 45 minutes, and then we'll have dinner. I'm making "enchiladas in a bowl" or something like that. I'm eating low carb, so I'm a bit limited in my food choices, but I'm excited for this new low-carb recipe. I went grocery shopping at Winco today, and it was wonderful. Winco is seriously my happy place. I think it's because it reminds me of going grocery shopping with my mom growing up, and also of last Fall and Winter (our first married Fall and Winter) ;) So it just feels happy and warm and cozy to me. Oh and they had all these Little Debbie's Fall snacks and I wanted them so badly! (Mostly because they're fall themed haha). Oh and all the Halloween candy!!!! September through December is my favorite time of year, especially at the grocery store ;) K I've got to go put the rest of the groceries away :) After a very long, very exhausting week, we are so happy to be down in Park City celebrating our niece's birthday! I am so excited to sleep in. :)
Celebrating our anniversary yesterday was so wonderful! I want to remember it all. First we went kayaking down the Snake River, and I loved it! It was my first time. I can't wait to go again. :) Then we came home and showered, relaxed, and exchanged gifts. I gave Ben a basket full of snacks haha and he gave me these candle holders and earrings that he MADE out of our first Christmas Tree trunk that we had saved. He is the best at gifts. I'm so in love :) Then we went to the temple and did some sealings. We figured it was a good way to celebrate being sealed a year ago. It was really cool. :) And THEN Ben took me to the jewelry store at the mall, gave me a bugdet, and told me to pick something out. It was so romantic. I love my sweet husband. And for dinner we ordered pizza, because that's what we did on the night of our wedding a year ago. :) It was such a wonderful day. And I'm even more in love now than I was the day we got married. And we've officially been married for over a year now, so we're basically an old married couple ;)
