B and I moved to Idaho Falls late last September. Idaho Falls is so beautiful in the Fall. The neighborhood we live in is pretty old, so it's filled with huge trees that were all red and yellow and orange for those first couple months. It was Fall HEAVEN!
Before we moved out here, everyone would ask us, "Have you been through a Winter there yet?" and we'd say no, and they'd say "Good Luck!" While B and I are both from California, he is from an area that would get snow pretty regularly in the Winter. I, however, am from the Desert. No snow, ever. Except I think one time where it snowed like half an inch and they cancelled school! Me and my friends tried to sled. HA. Here they don't cancel school unless it is 20 degrees below zero. So now we can officially say that we've been through an Idaho Winter! And it really wasn't that bad. Yes, it was very cold, but we are lucky to have a nice warm house to snuggle up in. And I loved having snow for Christmas! We even watched White Christmas during our White Christmas. (B loved the movie so much that he wants to watch it on Christmas day every year. I love him.) It's finally starting to warm up, and it's been around 35-40 degrees most days. Today I checked the temperature and saw that it was a whopping 46 degrees!! So I got B's bike out and took a ride around the neighborhood. It was fun, but it would have been more fun with B. He was at work. He still is. I hope he gets off early. 46 degrees feels a lot colder when it's raining, so I didn't ride for too long, but I can't wait for it to warm up even more so we can ride the bike path along the river! I can't wait for Spring. I'm slowly adding more and more color around the house to make it feel less like Winter, at least on the inside. Right now I'm working on painting or drawing something colorful for the bathroom. I'll post some pictures when I'm done. My favorite part of today: Our wedding song came on my Pandora today, and made me feel all giddy all over again. I love you, Babe. R
